Hotel Review

Spent a long weekend in Ottawa. We enjoyed our second stay at an excellent suite hotel called "The Business Inn". I highly recommend it, should you ever visit Ottawa. It is within walking distance to tons of attractions. It is a wonderful place, great suites, great services and an even greater price. The price is sooo great, I hope they don't get wise and start realizing they could charge a lot more, because I plan to stay there whenever I am visiting my daughter in Ottawa.

We had a pull-out couch and a double bed. Everything was super clean.

Every room has an iron/ironing board and clothes steamer. Great if your the type who would consider ironing on vacation (I'm not ;-) they also have a free laundry, they even provide the detergent. I did do some laundry.

Big TV

Some of the rooms have balconies. We didn't have one this time, but we did have a huge wall-to-wall window.

The bathroom was small but had everything we needed including Neutrogena products.

The rainfall shower head was nice.

Every room has a computer with high speed Internet and a printer with paper. Printing was free! And if you need colour printing done, they will do it at the front desk for free!

The best thing about this hotel is that every room includes a fully-equipped kitchen. All we had to do when we arrived was grocery shop! I'll share what we cooked up in another post.

We did not have to worry about breakfast. The hotel had free continental breakfast. It included things like fruit, toast, bagels, waffles, pancakes, eggs, juice, milk, cheese, yogurt, tea and coffee. (Didn't I say this place was great! :-)

The price for our studio suite was $107 per night (plus tax). Parking is a little pricey, $11 for outside parking and $15 for indoor. I sprung for indoor parking since our truck was packed with all my daughter's worldly possessions. The grand total for our 3 day stay was $415! This is more than reasonable for staying in downtown Ottawa.

  1. I like to figure in the cost of what breakfast would be, if you had to go to a restaurant for it. Usually for hubby and myself it would be $15 or so, and at 3 days, it would be $45. Take that off of $415, and your room could actually be considered as $370 for 3 days!

  2. We also saved because we were able to cook so we ate at restaurants less for supper and lunch.

  3. I love saving money on a trip. And you did well, making your own meals. I keep telling people that travel doesn't have to be expensive. Enjoyed reading these posts!

Thanks for visiting Cranberry Morning! :-)
